This week's learning was triggered by a 10 second online quiz, where in, I was required to answer a multiple-choice question, with options being Database, Data Replication, Multicloud and Machine Learning. The question was to identify the `Live Strategy` that helps in consolidation and amalgamation of enterprise data.
The question and subsequent wandering enriched self-belief and instilled a sense of pride as to where I belong and with whom I've been working for last 13+ years. Following are 3 readings of significance and a bonus read at the end, to help expand your understanding on Watson:
A blog post authored by Holly Vatter, Product Marketing Manager for Data Lake & Cloudera Partnership, IBM, is quite inquisitive, wherein, it provides the rationale behind Why hybrid cloud environments require live data replication technology? Justification in a one-liner: A live data replication strategy can bring together siloed data while ensuring accuracy, accessibility, & consistency.
Data movement is an indispensable feature of data replication, while Data governance along with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) form the other vital segments. Insights into migration with zero disruptions, improved backups with integration and location options in addition to supporting IoT and edge devices, help answer and set a platform on What to look for in a live data replication solution.
Communities go boom or bust based on how actively people participate, show attachment and express a sense of connectivity with its ecosystem. The more people engage in these communities, the more they continue to thrive and flourish.
